Brief itinerary of Annapurna Circuit trek (21 days)

Ever since 1977, after Annapurna Circuit trek was made open for foreign trekkers, it has been a greatly preferred and spectacular destination for many travelers and trekkers trekking in Nepal. The trek is an adventurous compilation of several ascents and descents through traditional villages, indigenous customs and cultures, monasteries and shrines, splendid green valley, lustrous mountain panorama, flora and fauna. Basically, the Annapurna Circuit trek consumes maximum of 21 days in overall striding from less than 1000m altitude. Below given is a brief itinerary of Annapurna Circuit trek that will help you to understand how the trekking goes for 21 days long.
Similar to most of the high altitude trekking itinerary, the initial commencing point of trekking is the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. As soon as you land on Tribhuwan International Airport, your specified trekking agency will take the responsibility to escort you to one of the hotels in Kathmandu on the very first day.
The next day, you will be getting involved in pre-trip meeting, preparing necessary documents and stuffs for the trek and sightseeing around the world heritage sites (Bouddhanath, Swoyambhunath, Pashupatinath and Bhaktapur Durbar Square) located in Kathmandu.
Leaving off to Syange through the trail of Besi Sahar, on the third day, you will get scenic perks of beautiful landscapes, waterfalls, lush green valley, rivers and many more during the ride of approximately 8 hours by private jeep.
On the fourth day, you will be trekking to Tal from Syange following the trail of beautiful Marshyangdi River. With slight ascends, you will come across mesmerizing waterfalls on your way.
On the fifth day, striding with the pleasant views of Annapuna II, Pisang peak, waterfalls and indigenous rural villages, you will be trekking towards Danaque.
From there, on the sixth day, you will be heading towards Chame, a beautiful small village termed as headquarter of Manang district.
On the seventh day, you will be heading off to upper Pisang. On the way, you will travel across dense forest, Marshyangdi River and also get to see beautiful panoramic views of meadow land and Himalayan ranges.
On the eighth day, striding with the very first ray of the sun over Annapurna II, your trekking will continue towards Ngawal, where you will get to witness many high-altitude flora and fauna along with beautiful gorges, Annapurna I & II and Pisang peak.
On the ninth day, your trek commences from Ngawal to Manang, a village well-enriched with peculiar landscapes, beautiful monasteries/ shrines and some lama schools.
The tenth day is designated for acclimatization process in your body that allows you to be adoptable and capable enough to smoothly continue your trek even in higher altitudes.
Eleventh day marks your trekking from Manang to Yak Kharka. There, you will significantly notice thinning of vegetations and herd of yaks.
On the twelfth day, you will be heading off to Thorong fedi from Yak Kharka with two hours of ascent and then descent to cross the river taking you to your destination. There you can discover some decent and primitive guest house built over the recent years.
On the thirteenth day, you will probably experience comparatively longer trek than previous day, from Thorong fedi to Muktinath, one of the most famous holy town of Nepal. With the steep climb over high passes and significantly tiring hike, the trek will eventually take you to the stunning vicinity of Hindu pilgrimage, Muktinath.
 On the fourteenth day, you will somehow experience the trekking in deserted land hiking from Muktinath to Marpha village. There, you will witness the closer views of small shrines and monasteries along with very old traditional houses reflecting the civilization of Mustang.
The next day, on Day 15 of your trip, you will continue your trek to Kalopani descending through the valley following the Kaligandaki River. As usual, you will get the scenic perks of amazing landscapes and beautiful Annapurna I.
On the sixteenth day, you will trek towards the place which is most famous for its hot springs, named as Tatopani. This can also be related as a relaxing spot for your tiring trek where you can enjoy shower dipping yourself into the natural hot spring.
On the seventeenth day, you will be trekking from Tatopani to Ghorepani with 7 to 8 hours of walk. At Ghorepani, you will see the beautiful scene of lustrous Annapurna south, Himchuli and Tukuche Mountain.
Moving on to the new day of your trip, on eighteenth day, you will be hiking to Poon Hill and also trek to Tikhedhunga on the same day. Hiking to Poon Hill, you will be surely stunned to see the spectacular and unobstructed view of sunlight over white Himalayan ranges. After some moments there, you will return to Ghorepani, have some meal and again with few hours of trek through dense rhododendron forest, reach to Tikhedhunga.
On the nineteenth day, you will continue your trek to Nayapul and then drive to Pokhara. You will have a rest day in one of the hotels in the city. This is probably the last day of trekking and rest of the trip, you will be rode.
On Day 20, you will be spending your day in Pokhara sightseeing various amazing sites in the city like Fewa Lake, Begnas Lake, Davis Falls, museums and more and at the same time involving yourself in different recreational activities like boating, paragliding and so on.
On the twenty-first day, the last day of your trip, you will drive back to Kathmandu and receive warm farewell arrangements from the trekking agency.
